The ruins of this once large and elegant castle is the former home of the High Rulers of the Toren islands. Backed by a mountain and fronted by large fields and gardens, it was a sanctuary for all who live inside it's walls until the rebellion that saw many of the family killed or exiled. Many still come to the castle in the hopes of finding treasures hidden within.

The capital city on the island of Viorli. It is where the ruins of Sparkfyre castle are located. Emberrule was once a city of nobles, the wealthiest city in the Islands but now it is a city of mercenaries where everything has a price and if you have the money any service could be bought.

The Dead Horse is the inn at a waystation in the Viorli countryside. Along with the obvious inn, the low-walled compound includes a farrier, stables where horses may be exchanged, a sutler for resupplying on the road and whatever itinerant merchants are passing through who set up shop for a few days before moving on.
