Abraxas looked out from his bedroom window out into the city of Avalon. A golden hue was cast over the streets in buildings in a warm glow as the sun was slowly making it's way above the horizon. Beautiful streams of light made the city look like it was made of gold. Abraxas smiled at the sight, he had a deep seated love for Avalon and for the Venetian Kingdom and admiring it from the height of his palace was a treasure that not many were able to see. He regularly woken early enough just to see it.
As the sun settled to a slightly less magical view, Abraxas got dressed and ready for the day, greeted his family at breakfast, and then before he got down to all of his required duties he stepped outside of the front door of the palace. He leaned against one of the tall white pillars as he just wanted the people beyond the gate as they went about their daily business. His arms were crossed casually over his chest, one foot crossed over the other with the toe of his boot against stone steps.

Vivianna woke up early to watch as the sun began to make its appearance along the horizon. A smile spread across her lips as memories of running up the stairs to the roof of the palace behind her husband before they were married to see the perfect place to watch the sun rise. Her breath was short from running up the stairs, but what she saw amazed her. Vivianna smile faded at those memories as she shut the window pane to keep those mementoes away. She couldn’t remember the last time she stood on top of the palace to watch the sun rise with Abraxas not did she want to think of him with anyone else up there. No reason to ruin a good memory with something like that. Vivianna walked back to her fluffy bed and snuggled into the covers to relax before her day actually began.
The red dress caressed her body as she walked down the halls after breakfast. Just like any normal day as everyone went their own ways for the day. She missed the days whe her children needed her, but her oldest is twenty-two and the youngest nineteen. How did time pass her by so quickly? Vivianna came to a stop when her brown eyes caught the sight of her husband and sighed. After all the years of being married to her best friend no matter how shattered her heart was because of him she still felt her heart skip a beat. Many wonder how she could turn a blind eye to his wondering ways, but she does is smile when the speak of him. If only they knew how much she actually loves him. She wondered if he knew how much she loves him, but she wasn’t about to say a word to him about love. It was something she would take to her grave. No one needed to know about how she longed and stared at her husband when he speaks to other women. Wishing for his attention for more than a couple minutes a day. Vivianna cleared her throat to keep thoughts like that from her head and placed a smile on her face as she walked out the shadows, Abraxas, she spoke.

How long Abraxas stood there, he didn't know. He was lost in thought as he counted all of his blessings. There were a great many for a ruler who was generally well liked. He knew it could all turn on him if he wasn't careful but he would do whatever he could to make sure that didn't happen. He heard his name and recognized the voice instantly.
He turned to see his wife approaching him and smiling. Vivianna had been his friend for too many years to count. He remembered chasing her through the halls of the palace as a child. She had grown into an incredible beautiful woman and he had once loved. He still did actually, in many ways. When they had lost their first child things had been hard on them. He didn't blame her for what happened but he felt his heart...feel a bit stopped up after that. He could never really place his finger on why.
He still cared about her and respected her, he still wanted her to be happy, but he had found other outlets to distract himself or to keep himself entertained, as if losing a child and re-awoken his restless nature, his need for something new, for something to chase. And it wasn't just the women, he focused more too on political matters and things of that nature as well.
He turned to look at her and gave her a smile in return. Despite the way his heart ached a little every time he looked at her, she was still his friend and his wife and he did love her. Things had just changed since their child had died.
"Good morning, Vivianna." He said with a smile. "You look as radiant as ever." He

Vivianna couldn't help herself as she blushed at his words like a young woman. Where his words could make her heart flutter out of her chest and honestly how could she kid herself? She felt like that every time he talked towards her. Unless they were in a heated argument. Vi couldn't remember the last time that happened and she didn't want to think about it either. Well thank you very much, she took a couple steps forward to close in the gap between them.Handsome kings should not be standing around day dreaming. Someone might see and think something is wrong in his head. She tease at him as she leaned against the other tall white pillars. Vi kept her brown eyes to the gate as people went among their day as she wondered where they were going or what they were doing. She was sure they wondered the same about them as the just stood here watching.
Oh I needed to speak to you about hosting a ball for our eligible son. She smiled and turned toward him to give him her full attention. Vivianna believed in true love and would never force a marriage onto her children, but that didn't mean she couldn't help guide them into finding someone to marry. He was soon gonna be next in line to the throne and she wanted a very smart woman beside him before Abraxas or even herself left this earth.Vivianna smiled his way again, Plus I'd love for you to guide me along the dance floor again. She raised a brow at him before blinking his way.

Abraxas smiled as she blushed. It brought him back to when they were young and he was courting her. Things had been so different then. So simple and happy. Things were still happy, life was still good, but between them...well it would be an understatement to say that things had changed. He chuckled as he teased her and watched her for a moment as she mirrored his position, looking at the way the morning light shone on her hair. She was beautiful. Despite how things had changed between them, that had not changed in the least. She'd always been lovely to look at.
He raised an eyebrow thoughtfully at her suggestion. "I suppose he is of the age to start truly looking, isn't he?" Had he not been around the Prince's age when he had married Vivianna? Honestly he couldn't quite remember at the moment.
"Oh would you now?" He asked with a smirk when she spoke of dancing. He wasn't showing it but he was actually pretty surprised. Did she not resent him for everything that happened since that fateful day?

Vivianna smiled his way,”Yes, it’s time for him to quit messing around. I believe by the time I was twenty-one we was married and finding out I was carrying our daughter.” She crossed her arms in front of her trying to be serious, but even she knew it wasn’t in her. At twenty-one she was still giggly in love with husband and would turn beat red any time he would look her way. After almost a week and half of her head in the chamber pot and turning her nose away from anything but a slice of bread. Vivianna had honestly thought she was slowly dying some horrible disease, but instead she was carrying the soon to be princess. “ I still remember day I told you and how excited you was. Vivianna also remembers the first time she watched him hold each of their children for the first time and how much her heart had exploded with love for him.
Vivianna smile faded as she turned her eyes back to the iron gate to watch the people mingle about their day. Nothing could have changed what happened to their fourth child. She had heard the words many of times and tried to drill it into her own head that it wasn’t her fault, but she still blamed herself. Times where she made herself sick thinking about what her child would have been to this day.
Vivianna quick pulled herself back together to hear Abraxas and couldn’t help but giggle. The smirk that would make any woman fawn over him, I think your dancing has improved a great deal since the first time you took my hand for a dance. Vivianna raised a brow in his direction and smiled. How could she not tease the man who stole her heart? Vivianna knew her husband like the back of her hand. She moved off the pillar and walked toward him with a wicked grin on her face. Just keep the toe stomping to a minimum please. Vivianna tease him I still don’t think they have healed correctly after all these years, She laughed a little as she thought of their child hood days of having o dance together many of times and how she hated dancing with him because it seemed like he was always aiming at her toes. Didn’t he know how hard it was to dance in a puffy dress?! Of course not, but that had run through her mind several times as a child.
Vivianna felt every hair on her body stand up as she breathed in his musk of leather and just pure man. She couldn’t remember the last time she was this close to him. Maybe when their youngest daughter was born? But even after that she couldn’t remember. Vivianna didn’t move away from him either but stood there enjoying the closeness of Abraxas as she could. She would take this memory and store it for later to night when she was alone in her bedroom.

Abraxas grinned, of course he wanted his son to get serious and find a wife, but he was also happy to indulge him if he didn't feel like he was quite ready to settle down. After all, a divorce in the royal family was much more of a scandal than a Prince who wouldn't pick a wife...so long as he avoided any bastard children. He did at least hope he was smarter than that.
Abraxas immediately was taken back to that moment, the moment that his wife had told him that she was pregnant with their first child. He had hoped that it would be a boy of course, someone to carry on the family name and be an heir to the throne. Though he was instantly in love when he first laid eyes on his daughter. Still, he feared they would have all girls and their family rule would end with him and go to some cousin or something. However, at the birth of their second child, a boy, his love for his daughter grew even more. He hadn't realized he'd been holding back until he was assured he'd have an heir, but now that an heir was in the picture, he heart was opened even more for his girl. Luckily she was so young when their son was born that she wouldn't have any memories of the difference. "I'll never forget that day." He told Vivianna with a smile.
He raised his eyebrows, acting completely shocked at her words, in an overly exaggerated way. "My Lady, I have never been a toe stomper!" He said incredulously, and then smirked. They known each other at such a young age that she had seen him as he was first learning how to dance. Now, he was quite an exceptional dancer, but it had taken a long time for him to really get the hang of it.
She moved closer to him and while she might be noticing the closeness, he didn't think too much of it, and wouldn't unless she got really up close and personal. "I will show you all my best moves to prove myself!" He said with a chuckle.

Vivianna couldn't help but let a small giggle out as she remember Abraxas as a child. Even then she thought him as cute watching him learn new things while she stood on the side lines. Growing up together and becoming best friends helped a bunch with their relationship. She felt she knew him better than herself at times, but then she felt like Abraxas was a different man. I do believe if my toes could protest they would. She giggled again and watched him. He was an amazing and handsome man. A wonderful husband at times even with his wondering ways, but she didn't love him any less. She loved watching him be a father to their children and teaching his sons to soon be King one day. It was one of the best things about being married to him.
Vivianna took a step away from him and smiled, Then prove yourself right now. SHe laughed and held her hand out to him to take.
