The King had just come out of a meeting and his council members were dispersing now, heading out of the large council room and out towards the main doors of the palace to head home, or whatever else they had going on now that the meeting was over with. Of course, the Hand of the King had been there too and Abraxas chatted with him for a brief moment at the door to the council room before he departed.
As he walked through the familiar halls of the palace, the same place he had lived for his entire life, he soon heard the familiar sound of the strings of a harp paired with the most beautiful voice in the world, at least in Brax's very biased opinion. His lips instantly lifted into a smile as he made his way towards the ballroom.
He stood by the doorway and looked in on the most enchanting sight in the world, the way the light was cast down on his youngest daughter was absolutely breathtaking. Abraxas absolutely adored each and every one of his children but Aeliana had a special place in his heart. She was the baby, but she was also their miracle baby, having been born after the stillbirth of a brother just before her. She had an innocence to her that some of her other siblings didn't possess, particularly Titus.
To him, Aeliana was absolute perfection, she could do no wrong. He tried not to, but he did often spoil her more than the others, though each of them were absolutely doted on by their father.
He waited until the end of the song she was playing, her angelic voice stirring a pleasant warmth in his heart, before he finally approached her. He came from in front of her so as not to surprise her and when he reached her he placed his hands gently on her shoulders and placed a tender kiss on the top of her head, unless she didn't let him.
"That is my favorite sound in the world you know? Your angelic voice mixed with the sound of your harp. I hope you never lose your passion for it." He spoke to her warmly.
