It had been a long, challenging day for Judas. He had a full appointment schedule along with several surgeries. However, it had ended badly when one of his patients had died on the table. He knew he couldn't save everyone, but each time it affected him greatly. He felt drained, physically and emotionally. While the nurses cleaned up the office and the operating room, Judas cleaned up himself, going through the motions without really thinking about them.
Before he knew it, he found himself at the door of The Black Rose. It was much closer to his office than his home and he had come here on many occasions. His anniversary, 5 days before, had been nothing short of wonderful. He had felt emotions for his wife that he had not felt in a long time, if ever. Things felt like they had the chance to change between them. He had not married her for love, but rather for the image that she could provide. She had done a splendid job and the arrangement between had been working so far. After there special evening together though, Judas had begun to wonder if they could have more.
Yet here he was, he feet had carried him here without even thinking about it. He hesitated for only a moment at the door before stepping inside. Sarai had already told him that she would not be home until late this evening. He had not asked her what she would be doing, sometimes he didn't want to know. As he stepped inside he was greeted warmly, he was a regular client and was well recognized.
He was offered several girls but none of them seemed to fit his need tonight. He moved into the main room and sat down in a large, comfy arm chair, simply observing the activity around him.

Athena Alessio looked out of place in the Black Rose. Where the girls of the Black Rose were easily identified she could have easily passed for the nobility that she'd been born into. Dressed in a white dress that was both elegant and seductive she stood out by a mile and was turning several heads. Her long blonde hair was falling about her shoulders in tight ringlets that bounced as she walked through the Black Rose to get herself a drink of wine. She wasn't like the other girls, Osiris had no power over her and she answered only to Mira, it was a luxury that very few had in the Brotherhood but she rather liked it.It meant that she didn't have to worry about many things that others did.
As she picked up her glass of wine she turned to look over the room, the girls were tending to their clients as always and she could see the threads of lust that bound the men to the girls who were doing whatever the men asked of them but it was then that she'd noticed a single man who had no such threads coming from him. Clearly he was either here for someone in particular or he'd yet to find a girl that he'd been interested in. There was plenty of girls there so one would catch his eventually. Sipping the wine she kept scanning the room before walking over to a quiet spot and sitting down at the table, allowing her hair to tumble down the front of her dress and accentuate her cleavage.
She played with the strands of hair as she considered her mission from Mira, she had a nice long list of men to pick from and she'd made herself known to several but she had no interest in any of them. It wasn't a requirement but given that she was going to have to spend a lot of time together it helped her to do her job better. There was a few that she still needed to meet and she hoped that they would be more fun. Sipping at her wine she closed her eyes, her foot tapping as she considered her options for the night.
It would have been an easy thing for her to pick up one of the client's of the Black Rose and spend the night with them or she could have went for a walk. So many possibilities. If needed she could have gone and played with Osiris but she wasn't sure that was such a good idea given how he and Mira were. Opening her eyes she looked at the wine glass as she weighed up the options.
Judas observed the room with an attentive gaze. He saw many of the women he had spent the night with. He saw some that he had denied and some that were new. He paid particular to the new ones, observing their behavior and their movements, as well as their looks to determine if they held any interest for him. A couple of ladies would occasionally glance his way with a smile, trying to gauge him as a potential client, but from his response, determined that that he had was interested.
He spotted Caprice and she caught his glance. He had spent many nights with her and if he wanted her he would have asked when he first walked in. She knew this and so she ran her hand along his shoulders as she passed him but otherwise said nothing to the man. He appreciate professionalism like hers.
A flash of white caught his attention and he discovered a beautiful woman that he had never seen before. He watched her closely as she moved through the room and over to the bar. He found it very interesting that she was not actively seeking out a client like most of the other women. He had to admit that this was a new and interesting game for him. Sometimes it was nice for a man to feel like he was still the one playing the game rather than simply having every whim met. It was almost a challenge.
He continued to watch her for a few minutes and finally stood and moved across the room over to the bar. He sat down in the open seat beside her. He examined her glass for a minute, considering the wine inside. "Is that a good wine?" He asked her, honestly curious as to whether it was any good and if he should spend the money on a glass of his own.

As she sat tapping her foot absentmindedly, the back of her dress traced the floor with each tap of her foot. Athena could feel someone looking at her but she was used to such things and didn't really think anything of it and just continued to sip at the sweet tasting wine. The wine was one of the most expensive available in Avalon and it wasn't very often that 'whores' drank it unless their client was very rich or very drunk. Athena on the other hand only ever drank this vintage, money wasn't an issue to her since Mira never seen her go without and many of her previous clients had been more than generous with money and gifts.
Mira had good taste that way.
As someone sat next to her she glanced over at them, not surprised to find a handsome man sitting next to her she glanced back at the wine even as he sat examining her wine glass. Placing the glass to her lips she took another sip before lowering it and looking at him as he spoke, a seductive smile upon her lips. "A very good wine, why don't you try it for yourself?"
Playing the Courtesan came so naturally to her that when she was in places like the Black Rose or with one of Mira's people of interest no-one would have ever thought this wasn't who she wanted to be. Even Mira thought that Athena loved her job and the 'pleasure' that supposedly came with it. Holding out her glass to him she offered it with her seductive smile unfading. She wondered if he would take the wine from or or if he would decline it, depending on what he did this little encounter could be just the thing that she needed to rid herself of her current boredom.
Little did she know that this man was on Mira's list, rather high on her list in fact. Athena kept her eyes on the man next to her as she crossed her legs, the dress parting at the knee as she did so to expose her long creamy coloured legs. Her eyes left him for a moment as she glanced at the women who kept glancing at him, the looks instantly told her two things about him. The first was that he was highly desirable as a client (which meant he had money) and he was an impressive lover, the desire in their eyes told her that. How interesting... she thought as she looked back at him, tonight had taken any interesting turn indeed.
Her smile was contagious and he couldn't help but smile in return. When she suggested that he try the wine himself, he assumed she meant of his own glass and was caught off guard when she offered her own. He looked down at the glass and met her seductive gaze. He felt that it was a bold move of her and it certainly caught his attention. He took the glass from her gently, his fingers grazing against hers in the movement. "You're so kind." He said, though his voice was laced with a deep mystery that didn't match the words he spoke.
He swirled the crimson liquid around in the glass before raising it to his nose, taking in the smell. Just the smell told him that it was a fine wine. He turned the glass so that he drank from the same spot she had. He could feel the texture of her lipstick on the glass against his lips as he took a small sip. He closed his eyes in order to really appreciate the flavor of the wine and after a moment he opened them again and set the glass down on the bar, sliding it back over to her. "A very good wine, indeed." He replied to her. "I'll have what she's having." He said to the bartender without taking his eyes away from the woman seated beside him.
