The wind rustled the leaves outside her window, it was a comforting sound that instantly made her feel at peace. It was the sound that had comforted her when she was ill, the sound she’d listened to rather than the healers when they’d told her parents that she might not live and most of all she listened to it to try and relax enough to sleep. Tonight, however it wasn’t helping her to drift off. Instead she lay there looking up at her ceiling, playing with her long dark hair as she tried to clear her mind and just stop thinking.
What was she thinking about? She was thinking about her recent trip to Avalon, or more accurately, she was thinking about the person she hadn’t seen during her trip. Dax. The Brothel Owner was not the type of person that Valencia usually associated with but he was fun to be around, he amused her and seemed to enjoy that she didn’t give into his charms like most women did. She was actually disappointed that she hadn’t seen him, it felt odd coming home without seeing him at least once. I’ll have to write to him in the morning. If she wrote to him then the next time she went to Avalon then she would be able to ensure she seen him.
It was as she was thinking about this that an unfamiliar noise caught her attention. It broke through the rustling of leaves and now that she had heard it there was no ignoring it. What is that noise? Sitting up she looked around, trying to find the source of the noise. Is that…the window? Slowly creeping from her bed she moved over to the window, narrowly avoiding being hit by what appeared to be a little stone. What the…? Cautiously peeking out of her window she instantly broke out in a smile. Standing below her window was the man she’d just been thinking about…but what was he doing here and how did he know this was her room?
She didn’t really care about the answer to either of those questions, she was just happy to see him. “What are you doing here!?” Moving to sit on the windowsill she watched him curiously, a smile still upon her lips.
There was no reason for him to be standing under the Allaway kingdom starry night skied, but he did have one person he wanted to see while he was here. Dax made his way through the poorly lit streets as men cheered from the lighted pubs and harlots along the walls asking if they could service him to a drink. What they didn’t know is he knew their tricks to the trade. Dax swiftly moved from the shadows until he made it underneath the poorly lit bedroom of the one and only Princess of Allaway.
Dax has spent a many of nights since he met the young princess under this very window. Why? There had been a rumor that the princess has been in Avalon and never once sent a messaged so they could meet. Their conversations were fun as they tried to outwit each other, but Dax really enjoyed the beautiful princess company. Standing under the night skies he threw small stones at the princess windows until she came out. A smirk spread across his face, Rapzuel Rapzuel let down your long hair!” He yelled up to her with a laugh. Dax used his magical powers of being able to travel by the darkness and was outside of the window with a smile on his face. Princess...” Dax smirked and winked at her.

“If my hair were longer I would happily let it down for you, my sweet Dax.” Oh how she adored this man, he had a way of making her smile in a way that others could not. When he appeared beside her window she reached out and traced her fingers along his jawline. “I dare to say that you get more handsome every time I see you, especially when it is so near to my bed chambers.” Valencia moved away from the window, leaving it up to him whether he sat upon her windowsill or entered her room. She chose to lean against the wall beside her window, playing with her hair as she watched him.
Her grey eyes scanned him, he truly was a handsome man, there was no denying that. “You still haven’t told me what you are doing here. It’s almost as if my thoughts summoned you since I was just thinking about you.” Oh she knew that there was going to be teasing, that he would delight in the knowledge that she’d been thinking of him but she didn’t care. Releasing the hair that she was playing with she turned her attention fully to him. “I missed seeing you when I was in Avalon. Every time I got close to the Black Rose you seemed to be busy…” Valencia watched him curiously, wondering what he would think of that and the words she was about to speak. “I fear I am becoming addicted to your company, Dax,” she teased in a playful tone.
Dax smiled as she left her touch along his jaw, Your a breath of fresh air my lady Valencia. HE spoke as he took in the woman before him with the long black hair and grey eyes that bore into his soul. The person who never far off his mind nor knew hoe to shake it away. How a princess could be so scandels he could never know. BUt she made the game they played between each other more fun. Dax chuckled as he followed her inside the bed chambers of Valencia and honestly couldn’t believe how welcoming the room was. He noticed the bed and a smile spread across his face as he walked slowly to the bed and ran a finger across it before sitting down, Care to show the ways of your world? Dax grinned because he knew she wasn’t no harlot like the girls at his house. No, she was the most bizarre woman he ever meet.
Dax rolled his eyes and grinned as he laid back into her soft bed, actually princess I came here to just sleep in your bed. A smile spread across his face as he closed his eyes pretending to sleep. Crossing his arms against his chest he smirked, But you see I would have dropped everything to see you my Valencia.

There was something about the way he always referred to her as his that always appealed to Valencia, she knew it was something he more than likely did with every woman but that didn’t stop it from making her feel special. Dax had a special way of making her feel special as a woman rather than as a Princess, he supposed it was that quality that made him so good at running his brothel. Watching him move around her room made her smile, it was as though he’d never been in a Princess’s chambers before and that was an idea that Valencia couldn’t quite believe.
Surely he was forever charming princesses and sneaking into their chambers.
”The ways of my world are highly dull, even having you in my room would be frowned upon,” a warm smile crossed her lips as she watched him, he looked so confident sitting upon her bed. “I would be much more interested in learning about your world,” she teased playfully as she moved to sit on the edge of her bed beside him.
A melodious laugh left her lips, “You truly came all the way here just to sleep in my bed? I hope you at least plan on cuddling me if you’re stealing half of my bed.” Gathering her skirts in her hand she crawled over him to lay in the empty spot next to him, tracing her fingers over his arms as she lay on her side beside him. A blush covered her cheeks at his words, he really was a charmer when he wanted to be. Leaning in she placed a sweet kiss upon his cheek. “I will be sure to remember that for next time, Dax.” She whispered against his skin, she moved to slowly cuddle into his side, looking up at his smirking features. “I really did miss you, Dax.”
Dax couldn't help to let a laugh escape his lips. Her life was anything but dull in his books. Yes, it must be dull to have everyone wait on you hand and foot. He said with a smile, thats why its our little secret. No one would understand our love for each other he spoke like some childs sappy fairy tale book. Dax had spent most of his life in the ocean, but the other half was sleeping in straw-filled beds with lose women who worked at his grandfathers brothel. It wasn't his first time to be in the bed chambers of a royal woman, but these chambers were a lot more comfortable.
Dax raised his brows in her direction, What do you want me to do Valencia? He smirked in her direction as she came closer to his side and cuddled into him. if Dax was a ruthless man like everyone thought he was he would have already had Valencia on his back. Dax smiled as she kissed planted a kiss on his cheek. It was a natural as he cupped his around around Valencia and smiled “ For a princess you sure don’t act like one.

Valencia hated the fussing that came with being a princess, especially when they were doing it because ‘they didn’t want her getting sick again’. She just wanted to be normal, be treated like a normal woman but that seemed to be too much to ask. “You would hate it, my love. You would be driven mad by the constant fussing and being told what to do and what to wear. Who you should speak to…” Her life might look glamorous but it really wasn’t, for the most part it was all about rules and appearances. “Oh you love me do you? And here I thought my love was unrequited,” she teased though her tone held a seductive note to it.
Teasing him was always fun but when there was a hint of seduction to it it was just that little bit more fun.
“That is a very broad question, Dax. There are lots of things I would want you to do.”Like kiss me… Where that thought had come from was beyond her, she shouldn’t be thinking that way about Dax. They were friends, unusual friends granted but still friends, none the less. She shouldn’t be thinking about kissing him. Closing her eyes she laid her head upon his shoulder as she continued to cuddle into him. “I could start acting like a stuck-up stereotypical princess if you want me to though I don’t think that you would enjoy it very much.” She could act cold, frigid and ‘better than thou’ but it simply wasn’t her. Looking up at his handsome features she smiled, “Besides, where would the fun be if I always acted princess like?”
